Celia weakens, is downgraded to Category 1 hurricane in Eastern Pacific, stays far from land

Celia is downgraded to Category 1 hurricane
MIAMI — Hurricane Celia has weakened in the East Pacific Ocean and was downgraded to a Category 1 Tuesday evening.
The National Hurricane Center says Celia was centered about 530 miles (850 kilometers) south-southwest of Manzanillo, Mexico. The storm has not been a threat to land and it was moving west, away from the Mexican coast, at 10 mph (17 kilometers per hour).
The storm’s maximum sustained winds Tuesday evening were 90 mph (150 kilometers per hour).
