NEW YORK (GaeaTimes.com)- Hurricane Earl which has become a category 4 Hurricane by now is expected to change its path and may pose a huge threat to the East coast region than what was expected earlier. If the hurricane does not deviate from its path it may cause damage to the region in parts of New England as well as Long Island. The hurricane may hit those regions on either Thursday or Friday. However, the met officials have said that nothing can be ascertained as yet regarding its movement and predictions do not match always. Dennis Feltgen associated with Miami’s National Hurricane Center says that people should be aware about the developments since the Hurricane has become really powerful in last two days.
Even if Hurricane Earl does not affect the coastal region it will make the sea wave turbulent and the surfers would be forced to stay away from the sea. The hurricane is sure to cause rain and the residents of New York and eastern Long Island will also experience tropical-force winds with strong gust in the next few days. The path of the hurricane will be controlled mainly by a strong low pressure zone that is going through the Midwest region as of now. It has been estimated that the hurricane may get drifted towards Northeast. The New York emergency officials do not want to take any risk and they have kept everything ready to face the storm as and when it hits the city.
Hurricane Earl is one of the most powerful tropical storms this year as the met officials have admitted. The emergency officials are also ready for evacuation in case it hits the city.
