MIAMI (GaeaTimes.com) — Tropical Storm Lisa is hovering over 390 miles northwest of the Cape Verde at latitude of 17.7 north and longitude 29.6 west, National Hurricane Center, Miami reports.
According to the Meterologist, Lisa is powered by winds of 40 mph and moving east at a speed of 5 mph.
Although Lisa is not posing any threat to land during the next 48 hours, it is likely to turn erratic on Thursday. A gradual increase of speed is expected on Friday.
Meanwhile, aircraft data taken over in the south-central Caribbean Sea by National Science Foundation and NASA research missions indicate that an area of low pressure has been created. This might become a tropical depression during the next day or two as it is moving towards west at 15 mph.
This system is also expected to bring heavy rainfall over northern Venezuela, Colombia and some portion of Central America during the next day.
