Wheat prices jump as rainstorms stall harvests
Wheat prices are climbing as a mixed bag of weather is affecting crops in the United States, Canada and Russia.
Farms in several states have been hit with heavy rains in the past week that have slowed or stalled the harvest.
Rainstorms also have caused problems with Canada’s wheat planting season while Russia is dealing with a dry spell that may be stressing its crop.
Gold and other metals prices are down while energy prices are mixed as the dollar rises against other global currencies.
