Quake jolts California

LOS ANGELES - An earthquake measuring 5.9 on the Richter scale jolted the southern part of the US state of California, but there was no immediate report of damage or casualties, Xinhua reported.
The earthquake occurred at 2353 GMT Wednesday, the US Geological Survey said. The quake was also felt in Los Angeles.
