LONDON - A Halloween reveller threw a witch’s hat on the tracks of the London Underground railway which caused a power outage, forcing the passengers to walk through the tunnels to safety Monday.

London Underground officials said the hat on the track near Chalk Farm in north London contained metal and caused a power outage which stopped four trains, the Daily Mail reported.

Hundreds of passengers were held on the trains for over an hour before they walked along the tunnels to the nearest stations.
