SENATH (GaeaTimes.com)- Senath’s only grocery store was burned down to ashes by a fire which sprang up all of a sudden from an electrical short circuit earlier this week. The Ramey Super Market which happens to be one of the oldest buildings in the town of Senath has served to be its chief grocery store for over 52 years.

By the time the fire-fighters reached the spot a major portion of the grocery store was already engulfed by flames. The brick walls of the grocery store which have grown old with time kept falling off which interfered with the work of the fire fighters who made advances to stop the fire and bring it under control. The fire fighters did their best to arrest the flames but weren’t able to reach a few portions of the building due to its weak stand. With the Senath grocery store burned down to ashes, the local residents and the people in the surrounding communities shall have to rely upon the nearby Kennett grocery store. The incident is a big shock to all sellers who used to sell their items at the grocery store.

Three fire-fighters of Kennett were badly injured while trying to put down the fire inside the grocery store. One of the fire-fighters suffered a heat exhaustion while another met with a severe foot injury as a brick wall fell on him while he was moving towards the building. John Mallott, who happens to be the Kennett Fire Chief said that his crew shall have the whole area recovered in a couple of days. The owners of the grocery store refused to make any comment about the rebuilding of the market.
