SAN DIEGO (GaeaTimes.com)- The southern San Diego Country along the border of United States And Mexico experienced as many as two dozen earthquakes on Monday night, according to reports that have been available. The tremors which included an earthquake of magnitude 5.7 on the Richter scale, rocked large parts of Southern California while being felt throughout Los Angeles County. Seismologist have emphasized that earthquakes were nothing but aftershocks of earthquake that struck the Baja California peninsula of Mexico and was measured to be 7.2 on the Richter scale.

BORREGO SPRINGS, CALIFORNIA (GaeaTimes.com)- Parts of southern California, especially the Borrego Springs community was hit by two successive earthquakes on Saturday night. As per the latest reports, the magnitude of the tremors has been put at 4.9 for the first earthquake which was soon followed by a tremor measuring 4.5 on the Richter scale.

CHICAGO (GaeaTimes.com)- A South Side woman aged 86 died after being hit by a Metra train adjacent to the Beverly Hills-95th Street station. The incident took place Wednesday night. The woman named Nina P. Neely belonged to the Riverdale community of Chicago. She was actually moving a wheelchair across the tracks. At that time, she was struck by the Rock Island District train No. 529. Tom Miller a spokesperson for Metra confirmed the news. He also said that the Metra authorities were not at fault since the rail crossing gates were closed. The warning lights were on as well and the train engineer honked the horns a number of times. Still, the accident could not be averted.

Earthquake Los Angeles: No Damages Registered

LOS ANGELES (GaeaTimes.com)- Los Angeles was hit by a series of earthquakes from Friday to Sunday. On Friday, a 3.9 magnitude quake struck the Port Hueneme, near Ventura County, at around 8:19 in the morning. Yet another earthquake struck Los Angeles on Sunday, at around 4:33 in the morning, about three miles east of Culver City and two miles east of Baldwin Hills. Yet another temblor occurred in Los Angeles on Sunday itself, in Santa Monica. Thankfully though, none of all these earthquakes caused any damage, either major or minor, and no injuries were also reported. However, according to the scientists with the Geological Survey of the United States, that is nothing very surprising.
