Correction: Oil Spill-Tar Balls story

ROBERT, La. — In a story May 12 about tar balls from an oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico washing up on beach in eastern Alabama, The Associated Press reported erroneously when the Deepwater Horizon rig exploded and sank. It exploded April 20 and sank April 22, not a week ago.
