22 people killed in Mexico

MEXICO CITY - Twenty-two people have been killed in separate incidents in Mexico, authorities said. Seventeen people were killed in Chihuahua state while five died during an uproar at a concert in Nuevo Leon state Sunday.

The prosecutor’s office in Chihuahua said Sunday four men were killed and one woman was injured during a shootout at a bar in Ciudad Juarez, a city bordering Texas, Xinhua reported Monday.

In another incident in Ciudad Juarez, gunmen killed three youngsters while they were watching a soccer game from inside their car.

Authorities also found five corpses with bullet injuries, near the highway between Chihuahua and Cuauhtemoc. The five men had been kidnapped Saturday, police said.

Another five men were killed in a bar in Camargo city in Chihuahua state, while five people died Sunday during an uproar at a concert in Guadalupe, in Nuevo Leon state.

The incident occurred when a music group - Intocable - was performing at the Livestock Expo in Monterrey, capital of Nuevo Leon.
