Four killed in Mexico gas explosion

MEXICO CITY - Four people were killed in a gas explosion that demolished part of a luxury hotel near the Mexican Caribbean resort of Cancun Sunday, a German consular official said.

Eight people were injured in the blast, which is believed to have occurred in one of the restaurants of the Princess Hotel, located on the river Maya, the German honorary consul in Cancun, Rudolf Bittorf, said.
