Three killed as bus hit by train

RANCHI - Three people were killed and 13 injured when a bus was hit by a goods train in Jharkhand’s Godda district Sunday, police said.

“A bus carrying around 20 passengers was hit by a goods train at the unmanned Diyajori railway crossing. Three people died and 13 were injured,” a Godda police official told IANS.

The police official said the goods train was ferrying coal from Mahagama to Lalmatia railway station in the district.

The injured have been admitted to a local hospital. The condition of three of the injured is said to be critical.
