Five persons were injured when security guards at the refinery allegedly opened fire on agitated workers forcing their way into an under-construction site at the refinery.

“The workers tried to enter forcibly into the site under construction. When they were entering the refinery the guards took away their gate passes and stopped them. Irked by this they tried to enter the premise forcefully. At this, the guards opened fire, injuring 5 of them seriously. The police have registered a case against the unidentified guards”, said Dilip Shrivastava, area police in-charge.
