2 tour buses crash near Epcot at Disney; 8 hurt

ORLANDO, Fla. — Officials say two buses have crashed near Epcot at Walt Disney World, critically injuring a bus driver and sending seven passengers to the hospital with minor injuries.

Deputy Fire Chief Bo Jones of the Reedy Creek Fire Department says the seven were taken to nearby hospitals for minor injuries. A bus driver was taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center with injuries considered critical but not life-threatening.

The Florida Highway Patrol says Tuesday’s crash involves a Walt Disney tour bus and a chartered bus. One bus rear-ended another on Epcot Center Drive about 2:30 p.m.
