Aecom, Michael Baker venture wins FEMA contract
LOS ANGELES — The engineering firm Aecom Technology Corp. said Tuesday that its joint venture with Michael Baker Corp. has won a contract to provide services for the U.S. Federal Emergency Management Agency.
Aecom said the contract runs for an initial 12 months with four 12-month options that would bring the total value of the deal to $600 million.
The joint venture, know as BakerAecom LLC, will help FEMA develop engineering projects around the country to help protect against floods and other disasters, the company said.
