PATNA - Bihar Vigilance Investigation Bureau sleuths Thursday carried out a raid at the office of the outgoing Patna Municipal Commissioner K. Senthil Kumar and seized some documents, official sources said.

Senthil Kumar, an Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer, was under the Vigilance Investigation Bureau scanner following complaint of irregularities in purchase of machine and equipments for his office.

“A team of the agency carried the raid Thursday afternoon at his office at the Patna Regional Development Authority,” an official said.

It was the second time that a team of the agency raided Kumar’s office within 24 hours. The team carried simultaneous raids at the office and residence of Senthil Kumar Wednesday.

The agency came to know about Senthil Kumar’s immovable property in Patna, Delhi and Chennai. He reportedly owns Chennai Cafe and Sudha departmental store in the Harihar Chamber of Boring Road here.
