Police raid home ministry official’s office, home

NEW DELHI - The office and home of an Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer posted in the home ministry was raided Monday by Delhi Police for allegedly leaking sensitive information to a private company.

Speaking to IANS, P.N. Aggarwal, joint commissioner of police, Special Cell, said: “The Delhi Police raided the North Block office and residence of Ravi Inder Singh, Monday afternoon after we got information that he has been leaking sensitive information out of home ministry to a commercial company.”

The 1994 batch IAS officer of West Bengal cadre, was working as director in the internal security division (ISD).

Aggarwal refused to divulge details about the private company.
