Coroner confirms IDs of victims in CA plane crash
EAST PALO ALTO, Calif. — Officials say it will likely be another week before the official causes of death are determined in the plane crash in a California neighborhood that killed all three Tesla Motors employees on board.
The San Mateo County coroner’s office said Monday toxicology reports are also still pending.
Coroner Robert Foucrault says his office has officially verified the identities of the victims using dental records. They are 56-year-old Douglas Bourn of Santa Clara; 42-year-old Brian Finn of East Palo Alto; and 31-year-old Andrew Ingram of Palo Alto.
The coroner and Tesla had previously identified the men as those believed to have been killed.
The plane crashed into an East Palo Alto neighborhood last Wednesday shortly after takeoff. No one on the ground was injured.
Federal investigators are expected to release a preliminary report on the accident this week.
