4.3 Magnitude Earthquake Rattles Northern Illinois

ILLINOIS (GaeaTimes.com)- Residents of northern Illinois woke up by sudden earthquake jolts that rattled the place in the early morning of Wednesday. As per the reports, the earthquake, which rattled northern Illinois and created a panic among the people of the place on Wednesday morning recorded a magnitude of 4.3 on the Richter Scale. According to the reports of the Geological Survey of United States, the earthquake, which created a panic among the people of Northern Illinois had affected an area of almost 50 miles in the west-northwest side of Chicago downtown.

As per the latest updates, the 4.3 magnitude earthquake that rattled northern Illinois had its epicenter 3 miles underground in somewhere between Sycamor and Virgil town. Though the earthquake had created a panic among the people of the place, it has not caused any severe damage to the lives of people.

Reports indicate that the shocks of earthquake were felt around 4 a.m. CT, when most of the people were resting in their homes. It has been reported that some people informed that they felt the tremors of the quake while they were sleeping and got up in fear of another disaster. Many people have started to call to the offices of law enforcement to report about their experience of the quake. However, none of them have reported of any death or significant damage to property for this quake. Though no major damages have been reported so far, some people indicated that they have noticed cracks in the walls of their houses after 4.3 magnitude earthquake rattled northern Illinois.
