Falling tree branch kills Mumbai traffic inspector

MUMBAI - In a freak accident, a traffic inspector was killed and three other persons were injured when a branch from a tree fell on them in south Mumbai Wednesday.

According to an official of Marines Line police station, Traffic Inspector Atul Vahya, 40, died while on duty near LIC headquarter building at Nariman Point.

A branch fell on him, crushing him to death. Three others - two traffic police personnel and a parking lot official - were also injured in the accident.
