Digicel says 2 workers died in Haiti quake

NEW YORK — Wireless provider Digicel Group says two of its employees died in the earthquake that struck Haiti on Tuesday.

The privately held company, which is based in Jamaica, said its communications network is still intact, but was damaged and is experiencing “extensive congestion.”

The company said its building in the capital of Port-au-Prince, which houses 900 employees, withstood the quake.
