11 injured in Noida road accident

NOIDA - Eleven employees of a private firm here were severely injured Sunday when the vehicle they were travelling in was hit by a heavy-duty dumper, police said.

The accident occurred around 5 p.m. at Sector-71 crossing. The Tata Winger SUV was dropping employees of Up-to-date Enterprises home when a speeding dumper hit it from the opposite side.

The injured were taken to Fortis and Satya Hospitals. Hospital authorities said the condition of three people was extremely critical while the other eight were out of danger.

The police have seized the dumper and a case has been registered against the driver and cleaner of rhe dumper. The driver is absconding.
