Swiss rocker Steve Lee dies in US highway accident

GENEVA — The manager of Swiss rock band Gotthard says frontman Steve Lee has been killed in a highway accident in the United States.

Jan Bayati of German music management company Bottom Row says 48-year-old Lee died Tuesday in Nevada after a semitrailer crashed into a group of motorcycles on a slippery road.

Gotthard is one of Switzerland’s most successful bands, selling millions of albums and having played alongside Deep Purple, Whitesnake and Bon Jovi.
