China Plane Crash Claims 42 Lives

BEIJING (GaeaTimes.com) — A plane overshot the runway while landing in the Yichun’s Lindu airport at 10.10 pm local time. The plane was carrying 91 passenger when the incident took place. The Henan Airlines plane that was involved in the accident was an E-190 jet manufactured by Embraer, a Brazilian aerospace major.
The plane was trying to land in the remote city of f Yichun in the Heilongjiang province. Rescue attempts are in full swing as almost 47 people have been reportedly secured from the site. There was no news of confirmed casualty at the time of writing this article, but the state TV of china suggested that 42 people may have died in crash. The China Central Television quoted Sun Bangnan, deputy director of the Heilonjiang Public Security Department to have acknowledged that 42 bodies were recovered from the site. The 49 people who were rescued have been taken to a nearby hospital.
