LOS ANGELES (Gaeatimes.com) — At least 40 houses have been destroyed by a wild fire at Tehachapi. The fire fighters are still working to bring down the fire that broke out about 10 miles south-east of the Mojave Desert.

Sources say that the fire broke at around 3.00 clock. In a very short span, the fire spread to about 500 hectares. Approximately, 40 houses have already been engulfed by the fire. Residents have been instructed to evacuate the area and officials are trying hard to put a hold on the situation.

With 450 fire fighters, 5 air tankers, 4 helicopters and many bulldozers on the field, the fire is yet to be brought down. The main hindrance that the fire fighters are facing is due to the rugged terrain, heavy bush and grass.
