NEW DELHI - Defence Minister A.K. Antony said Saturday that action would be taken against anyone found guilty of killing innocent Kashmiris in an alleged shootout.

“With the Kashmir government already enquiring into the fake encounter case, we will cooperate in the probe. The amy is also enquiring seriously. Nobody will be spared. There is no question of a cover up. We’ll take action against anyone found guilty,” Antony told reporters here on the sidelines of a function.

His comments come as an Indian Army major and four other people, including a Territorial Army soldier, were booked for the murder of three civilians in a staged gun battle in Jammu and Kashmir April 30.
