Obama warns oil companies against finger-pointing
WASHINGTON — President Barack Obama says this week’s finger-pointing by oil companies involved in the Gulf Oil spill was a “ridiculous spectacle.”
The president sternly took the companies to task for their executives’ comments during congressional hearings. Obama says they were “falling over each other to point the finger of blame at somebody else.” Speaking during a Rose Garden appearance on Friday, Obama said he “will not tolerate” more such behavior.
He said all parties should be prepared to accept blame, including the federal government.
