Corvette crash kills 4 in San Fernando Valley

LOS ANGELES — Los Angeles police say four people are dead after a speeding Corvette crashed in the San Fernando Valley.

The wreck at about 12:05 a.m. Thursday left car and body parts scattered along a half-mile stretch of Roscoe Boulevard in the North Hills area.

Officer Gregory Baek says the yellow 2007 Corvette was speeding when it hit a guardrail, skidded about 200 feet, crossed some railroad tracks and came to rest upside down.

Lt. John Romero says two men and two women were killed. Baek says one of the victims was found outside the car but it’s not clear whether that person was a pedestrian or a passenger who was flung from the car.

Police say no other car was involved in the crash and the Corvette wasn’t racing anyone.
