Two girls gangraped, three arrested

GREATER NOIDA - Two girls were gangraped after being lured to an apartment in Greater Noida, a satellite town of the Indian capital, police said Saturday. Three of the four culprits have been arrested.

Deepak, Jeetu alias Jitendra, Vicky and Prashant Kumar took the victims, aged 19 and 20 years, to the apartment in NRI City Friday night and raped them.

One of the girls managed to get back her mobile phone and informed her parents in Bulandshahr. Her parents reached the spot and also informed the police who nabbed Deepak, Jeetu and Vicky. Prashant Kumar escaped.

Jeetu and Vicky reportedly work in reputed companies. The other two men are said to be students.

The girls were sent for medical examination and the three youths to jail, Greater Noida’s Superintendent of Police S.K. Verma said.
