Ghaziabad custody death: Autopsy shows contusions on body

GHAZIABAD - The autopsy report of a man who was found hanging in a police station cell here revealed that he had contusions all over his body and the death was caused due to suffocation, police said.

Earlier, six police personnel were suspended and a criminal case was registered against them after Dhirendra, an accused in a truck robbery case, was found hanging in his cell in the Bahadurgarh police station of Ghaziabad.

The family members of the deceased alleged that Dhirendra was kept under illegal detention for more than four days.
