Bihar MP gets death threat via SMS

PATNA - Om Prakash Yadav, an Independent MP from Bihar, Tuesday received an SMS threatening to kill him, police said.

“Someone sent an SMS message threatening to kill me,” Yadav, Lok Sabha member from Siwan, told IANS over telephone. He was in Chapra district when he got the threat.

Yadav said he informed the police and demanded an immediate probe into the threat.

The MP claimed he was being threatened for exposing large-scale corruption in the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme and other welfare schemes in Siwan.
