Earthquake strikes Spain

WASHINGTON - An earthquake measuring magnitude 6.2 struck early Monday local time southeast of Granada, Spain, the US Geologicial Service reported.

The initial report said the quake struck about eight minutes after midnight about 25 km southeast of Granada and 370 km south of Madrid.
