NEW DELHI - A 36-year-old man has been arrested in the national capital for selling in black market the tickets for the Indian Premier League (IPL) match between Delhi Daredevils and Kings XI Punjab, police said Sunday.

Amit Kumar Gupta, a resident of Kingsway Camp in north Delhi, was arrested near Feroze Shah Kotla cricket stadium Saturday while he was trying to sell the IPL tickets at higher rates while posing as an authorised agent.

“He used to procure the IPL tickets through franchisee and sell at almost three to five times the actual cost,” a police officer said.

Police have recovered 29 tickets and a complementary pass from him.
