Obama to address West Virginia mine explosion

WASHINGTON — President Barack Obama is set to address the deadly West Virginia mine explosion at the White House after he returns Friday from his trip to Prague.

Obama has asked federal mine safety officials to report next week on what may have caused the blast. Officials have suggested a buildup of methane might have been to blame.

Monday’s explosion killed at least 25 miners and four others are missing.
