Husband’s death prompts woman to jump to death

LUCKNOW - A woman Wednesday jumped from the top floor of a hospital in this Uttar Pradesh capital after she learnt of her husband’s death, police said.
As soon as 37-year-old Vinay Kumari Singh came to know that her husband was dead following gastro-intestinal problem, she went to the top floor of the hospital and leaped from the balcony, Deputy Inspector General of Police Rajeev Krishna told reporters.
She succumbed to her injuries in the evening, he said.
Her husband, Gurudev Singh, used to run a general merchandise shop on the outskirts of the city and the couple had four young children.
