NH police: Meth lab explodes during drug raid
FRANKLIN, N.H. — Authorities in New Hampshire say a meth lab in a house exploded during a police raid, and a nearby high school has been put in lockdown.
Franklin Police Chief David Goldstein tells The Citizen newspaper there was an explosion and fire minutes after police entered the building Tuesday morning. Goldstein says two men and one woman were arrested in connection with the drug operation.
Franklin School Superintendent Jo Ellen Divoli tells The Associated Press police requested the lockdown at Franklin High School after saying earlier they would be undertaking “an action.” The house is less than a tenth of a mile from the school.
She says students are in their classrooms with their teachers. There are 460 students in grades 9 through 12 at the school.
