2 die in NM crash with suspected bank robber
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Two women have died after their car crashed head-on into the vehicle of a suspected bank robber fleeing a police pursuit in Albuquerque.
Police say a vehicle that left the scene of a bank robbery was traveling the wrong way on a street when it crashed into a car Tuesday.
Authorities say one woman in that car died at the scene, and the other was pronounced dead at a hospital. They were later identified as 34-year-old Kimberly Aragon-Nunez and 28-year-old Janice Flores, both from Albuquerque.
Police say the male suspect fled on foot to a nearby home, where officers took him into custody. He was later identified as 31-year-old Jeremiah Jackson, of Albuquerque.
They say he will face federal charges related to the deaths and the robbery.
