10 die in Pune accident

PUNE - Ten people were killed and nine injured Monday in an accident on the Pune-Satara highway here, police said.

According to police, the sports utility vehicle was going from Satara to Pune when one of its tyres burst and the vehicle overturned. The accident took place at about 4:30 a.m. near the new tunnel on the highway.

The injured have been admitted to Sassoon hospital here.
