Man killed on Delhi’s BRT corridor

NEW DELHI - A 60-year-old property dealer died Friday after an Indian Army truck hit him on the BRT corridor here, police said.
The accident took place around 3.30 p.m. in Ambedkar Nagar area of south-east Delhi.
Tara Chand was crossing the road along with his son Yogesh, 30, when a truck of the Indian Army hit him. His son escaped unhurt as he had already crossed the road, a senior police officer said.
Tara Chand was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was declared dead. The truck driver was arrested and the truck was impounded, the police officer added.
Tara Chand was a resident of Madangir area and is survived by his wife and two sons.
