Mild earthquake jolts Orissa

BHUBANESWAR - An earthquake measuring 2.4 on the Richter scale jolted some parts of Orissa Thursday, officials said.

The quake, whose epicentre lay 80 km from Bhubaneswar, was felt for a few seconds around 12.12 p.m.

“It was a mild earthquake,” S.C. Sahoo, director incharge of the regional meteorological centre of Bhubaneswar, told IANS.
