BROWNSVILLE, Tenn. — A medical helicopter has crashed in western Tennessee and state officials say three crew members were killed.
Tennessee Emergency Management Agency spokesman Jeremy Heidt in Nashville says it was a medical flight that crashed into a field shortly after 6 a.m. CDT during a rainstorm Thursday morning near Brownsville.
Heidt said the Hospital Wing helicopter had flown a patient to a Jackson hospital and was returning to its base in Brownsville when it went down. All those aboard were crew members.
