Chinese warships dock in Abu Dhabi to fight piracy

ABU DHABI - A Chinese naval contingent has arrived here in Port Zayed to take part in an international mission to fight piracy in the Gulf of Aden, WAM news agency reported.

The Chinese warships will be stationed in the area for four days to protect the commercial ships and oil tankers from pirates.

Rear Admiral Sheikh Saeed Bin Hamdan Al-Nahyan, deputy commander of the UAE Navy, welcomed the Chinese contingent on arrival Wednesday.
