Multiple people killed in bus crash near Phoenix
PHOENIX — Rescuers have set up a triage area in the middle of an Interstate south of Phoenix as they treat more than a dozen people injured in a deadly bus crash.
Multiple people have been killed in the accident on Interstate 10 around 5:30 Friday morning. The crash involved a semi, a bus and possibly other vehicles.
Rescuers are breaking out windows of the bus to get to victims. The westbound lanes of Interstate 10 south of Phoenix are closed.
Ofc. Robert Bailey of the Arizona Department of Public Safety says he does not know the number of fatalities. He says there are multiple injuries.
