BHOPAL - A 17-year-old girl was set on fire in Hama village of Madhya Pradesh’s Chhattarpur district Thursday evening allegedly by four men who forcibly entered her house and misbehaved with her, police said.

“Four people identified as Ramakant, Hiralal Rawat, Deepak Kumar and Ashok Rawat entered her house while Sangeeta was alone at home and started misbehaving with her. When she opposed them, they doused her with kerosene and set her on fire,” police officer Sameer Yadav said.

Police said the victim has been admitted to the district hospital and her condition is critical. The four accused are absconding.
