3 found dead after fire at duplex in Milwaukee
MILWAUKEE — Milwaukee fire officials say the bodies of a woman and two young children were found following an early morning fire at a duplex.
Deputy Fire Chief Randall Zingler says the fire broke out shortly before 5 a.m. Friday. Police are investigating the blaze because of the suspicious nature of the fire, but Zingler refused to elaborate. The identities of the three who died were not released.
Milwaukee Police Capt. Kurt Leibold says the bodies were found on the second floor of the duplex in a neighborhood south of downtown. Three people on the first floor of the building escaped unharmed.
