Two women Maoists surrender to police

BHUBANESWAR - Two women Maoists surrendered before the police in Orissa’s Keonjhar district Thursday, police said.

The two Maoists have been identified as Malini Hensa and Bela Munda. Both of them surrendered before the district superintendent.

“Two Maoists surrendered before us. We have started a home coming scheme. We will rehabilitate them under a surrender policy,” Superintendent of Police Ashish Singh said.

They were involved in several violent incidents in the district, police said.
