Traffic policeman stabbed to death

NEW DELHI - A Delhi Traffic Police constable was stabbed to death by a rickshaw puller in Khajuri Khas in northeast Delhi Saturday afternoon, police said.

The incident took place at around 4 p.m. when the deceased, Dinesh, was trying to move away the rickshaws to de-congest traffic. However, the rickshaw puller stabbed him in the stomach and chest and fled, a police officer said.

Dinesh was taken to a nearby hospital where he was declared brought dead. Efforts are on to arrest the absconding rickshaw puller, the officer added.
