The inmates appearing in the examinations belong to jails of Saharanpur, Muzaffar Nagar, Meerut, Bulandshahr and Ghaziabad, which also houses inmates of Noida district.
As many as 30 inmates from Dasna jail are appearing in the Class 10 and Class 12 examinations.
“It is the first such experience and the staff is quite enthusiastic about conducting the examination. It is an attempt to change the destructive approach of the inmates and give them a constructive and positive approach towards life and society,” Singh added.
