BHUBANESWAR - About 600 kg of explosives and 180 detonators have been seized in Orissa’s Balasore district, police said Saturday.

“We have recovered detonators, explosives, fuse wire from Bharat Chandra Nayak of Goapal village,” district police chief Rajesh Kumar said.

Police arrested three people, including the main accused, after the recovery of the explosives.

“We are investigating how they managed to get such a huge quantity of explosives and whether these were meant for any disruptive activities,” he said.
