Two men held for snatching in Ghaziabad

GHAZIABAD - Two men on a motorcycle were caught red handed while they were snatching a woman’s purse and mobile phone here Tuesday, police said.

The two men, identified as Amir and Salman snatched the purse and mobile phone of Shalini Tyagi, who was going to her office in a cycle rickshaw, in the Raj Nagar District Centre area, Superintendent of Police A.K. Vijeta said.

As Tyagi raised an alarm, passersby caught hold of the two men and handed them over to a patrolling police vehicle which had reached the spot.

Amir is a resident of Maujpur in Delhi, while Salman stays at Brahmpuri in Jafrabad, also in Delhi.

The two confessed to having snatched 30 mobiles, 10 gold chains and several purses from various locations in Delhi.
